Truncated cuboctahedron

Model 477

Category:
B II 182

Description

(6+8+12)-plane (2·24)-polygon. Polar figure of the disdyakis dodecahedron.

Additions

In 2016 it was noted that the model associated with the number 477 in the case didn't fit the description.

The (6+8+12)-plane polygon with (2·24) vertices is a truncated cuboctahedron and seems to be lost. It is one of 13 Archimedean solids.

The wrongly associated model can now be found with the number 485.

There are 11 Archimedean solids in the collection.

475 Truncated cube inscribed in an octahedron
476 Rhombicuboctahedron inscribed in a cube
478 Truncated icosahedron inscribed in an icosahedron
479 truncated dodecahedron inscribed in a dodecahedron

481 inscribed in an icosahedron
482 Rhombicosidodecahedron
483 Snub dodecahedron

The truncated icosidodecahedron and the lost truncated cuboctahedron are not included in the collection.

The model is lost.
